When we do something out of love, it shows. All great men are extremely passionate of everything that they do. They do what others do & some more. It may be just a little bit more but it’s certainly one habit which all successful people have.
If you do something you love, you will always tend to go the extra mile. The greatest advantage you will have is that, it will be 100% effortless because you will be taking inspired action.
Whatever you do, do it so well that no one else can do it better than you. You see, it’s always about those little things that make a big difference in life. It’s the difference that makes the difference!!!
If you are asked to deliver a lovely dress to someone, don’t just courier the dress to the concerned person. Someone has brought that lovely dress from you & if you pack it in a lovely gift box nicely wrapped & gift packed with ribbon & a small note to go with it, you are making a difference in that person’s life.
How much does gift packing something cost you? Almost nothing, right? But this small gesture of showing that you care, goes a long way in starting a great relationship with your new client or guest.
I promise you, the person who brought that dress from you will never ever forget you. When that person thinks of buying something similar, he will surely remember you & probably even be your regular client or guest!!!
What you only need is to be creative. Come out with different ideas as to how you can deliver & over deliver your goods & you will slowly start becoming irreplaceable. In fact, you don’t even have to be creative, you just need to do it will love & passion. Creativity is more often than not a by-product of love!!!
When you do something out of the sheer love of it, you can’t help yourself from going the extra mile. That’s why I have given so much importance to choosing something that you love to do.
A man is most efficient and will more quickly and easily succeed when engaged in the line of work that he loves, or even the work that he performs on behalf of some person whom he loves. Remember the time when you were in love with someone. Would you not do anything for that person? You certainly would, right? That’s what love does to you.
Whenever the element of love enters into any task that one performs, the quality of the work becomes immediately improved and the quantity increased, without a corresponding increase in the fatigue caused by the work. When you mix love energy with action it’s called Inspired Action!!!
Love + Action = Inspired ‘Effortless’ Action
This habit of going the extra mile will put you in a position where you will become unstoppable. Every person you come across will come under your circle of influence & you will soon become irreplaceable in your own line of work.
To tilt the universe in your direction – Give more value in use than value in exchange!!! Give more value in use than you take in cash value. Become indispensable & so important to others that they cannot simply do without you!!! The greatest publicity you can ever get is Word of Mouth Publicity.
How will you do that? By taking Massive Inspired Action (MIA). How will you take MIA? By being true to yourself & doing things that you enjoy & love doing. How will you be able to find something you enjoy doing? By being Happy. Why by being happy? Because by being happy the frequency at which you vibrate will through the Law of Attraction bring events, situations, people & ideas that make & keep you happy. Hence HAPPINESS = SUCCESS!!!
The emotion of happiness puts you on a frequency which is the starting point of all creation in the universe!!!
The 2 most important things that every business needs are – Publicity & Visibility. Without sufficient publicity & advertising, no business can thrive or even survive in today’s corporate scenario & the greatest form of publicity & advertising you can ever get is word of mouth publicity.
Word of mouth publicity is the most powerful form of publicity you can ever get & the best thing is that it’s free. However the only difficult thing is that in order to get word of mouth publicity, you got to be good, I mean really good at what you do or offer.
By going the extra mile, you not only attract the attention of people but also impress them to recommend you & your services. That’s the most powerful thing that can ever happen to you & your business!!!
Have you really got excited to watch a movie, just because the producer of the movie, or the director or the actors were raving about it? You generally don’t unless you come under the circle of influence of one or more of these people. However if your best friend tells you to go & watch a movie & raves about it, you will certainly go & watch it.
That’s how powerful, word of mouth publicity is!!! It becomes even more powerful when suggested by an outsider & not an insider of something which is being sold. Your friend (an outsider) is not going to benefit anything by recommending you to go & watch the movie. The producers are not going to give him a share out of their profits for that. But he will still be an influence in your watching of the movie.
So the easiest & the most powerful way of getting free publicity & advertising is through word of mouth & the best way you can do it is by doing more than what you are paid for i.e. by going the extra mile.
Whenever there is any transaction happening, there is always a tendency in us to compare the value of the product or service in use with the value in exchange.
If, Perceived Value in Use > Value in Exchange -> We generally tend to buy
& If, Perceived Value in Use < Value in Exchange -> We generally tend to NOT buy
By going the extra mile, you make the perceived value in use much greater than the value in exchange. That’s how you create a win-win situation. You win, your client wins, everyone wins!!!
