What Should Google Wave Do? (Suggestions/Requests/Wishlist/Ideas)

Google Wave is an amazing concept and it has great potential to change the face of how we communicate with each other! Even in its nascent stage of development, we have already seen the enormous potential & possibilities that can be achieved using Google Wave!

For the last few days, Google Wave has certainly caught my fancy! I think it has enormous power as a communication & collaboration tool. However it’s relatively a new baby from Google & has its share of problems.

But we know what Google has achieved & what are the possibilities of waving as a tool in terms of communication!

If you are fairly new to the world of Google Wave & you haven’t received an invite yet or you just simply don’t know where to start to getting to know G-Wave then here is a short video explaining the basics of Google Wave!

This blog post is for everyone who would like to share his/her views & provide their inputs on what Google Wave should do in the near future.

This is my unique take & perspective on how we can harness the power of Google Wave! Feel free to add yours by commenting below.

The power of a google wave depends on the power of collaboration of the users within the wave! Therefore every user will have certain assigned powers & he/she can only operate within those powers.

Category of Participants in a Wave:

1. Wave Owner (WO): The person who starts the wave is the owner of that wave. He has all the powers to control the wave. There can be more than one WO provided, the original WO wishes to assign his powers to another user/s as well.

Powers Available to a WO:

Add Info to the wave
Edit Info in the wave
Add info in the form of an EXISTING blip to the wave
Edit info in the form of a EXISTING blip in the wave
Add info in the form of a NEW blip to the wave
Edit info in the form of a NEW blip in the wave
Lock one or more EXISTING Blips from being further edited!
Lock one or more NEW Blips from being further edited!
Password Protect one or more blips
Password Protect an entire wave
Allow other users the power to Add Info to the wave
Allow other users the power to Edit Info in the wave
Allow other users the power to Add info in the form of an EXISTING blip to the wave
Allow other users the power to Edit info in the form of a EXISTING blip in the wave
Allow other users the power to Add info in the form of a NEW blip to the wave
Allow other users the power to Edit info in the form of a NEW blip in the wave
Allow other users the power to Lock one or more EXISTING Blips from being further edited!
Allow other users the power to Lock one or more NEW Blips from being further edited!
Allow other users the power to Password Protect one or more blips
Allow other users the power to Password Protect an entire wave
Monetise & advertise on the wave or allow others to monetise the wave or advertise on the wave by sharing the revenue with the WO
Give any one/more/all the above powers to user/s he/she wishes to in addition to him/herself
Remove one or more users from the wave
Remove one or more moderators from the wave
Remove the power to moderate the wave from an existing moderator
Assign the power to moderate to an exiting user
Delete the wave totally or partially
Make a private wave public
Make a public wave private
A wave by default even if public is a read only wave for other users unless the WO wishes to allow other users (only users which he wishes to) to contribute to the wave! (This would help in reducing & controlling spam)

2. Wave Moderator (WM): This person is the one, who has been assigned one or more of any of the above mentioned powers by the WO. WM’s are important & play a vital role in maintaining the authenticity & relevancy of the wave within the scope of its topic of discussion.

3. Users: An user is the one who can only read the wave & get info or know-how from the wave. He can participate & add/edit info in a wave or blip provided the WO has given that power to him/her. A user can request only the WO to allow him be become a WM or another WO to contribute & share ideas in a wave.

In short, a Wave would consist of:

1. One or more WO’s

2. One or more WM’s

3. One or more Users

How To Get Free Publicity!

When we do something out of love, it shows. All great men are extremely passionate of everything that they do. They do what others do & some more. It may be just a little bit more but it’s certainly one habit which all successful people have.

If you do something you love, you will always tend to go the extra mile. The greatest advantage you will have is that, it will be 100% effortless because you will be taking inspired action.

Whatever you do, do it so well that no one else can do it better than you. You see, it’s always about those little things that make a big difference in life. It’s the difference that makes the difference!!!

If you are asked to deliver a lovely dress to someone, don’t just courier the dress to the concerned person. Someone has brought that lovely dress from you & if you pack it in a lovely gift box nicely wrapped & gift packed with ribbon & a small note to go with it, you are making a difference in that person’s life.

How much does gift packing something cost you? Almost nothing, right? But this small gesture of showing that you care, goes a long way in starting a great relationship with your new client or guest.

I promise you, the person who brought that dress from you will never ever forget you. When that person thinks of buying something similar, he will surely remember you & probably even be your regular client or guest!!!

What you only need is to be creative. Come out with different ideas as to how you can deliver & over deliver your goods & you will slowly start becoming irreplaceable. In fact, you don’t even have to be creative, you just need to do it will love & passion. Creativity is more often than not a by-product of love!!!

When you do something out of the sheer love of it, you can’t help yourself from going the extra mile. That’s why I have given so much importance to choosing something that you love to do.

A man is most efficient and will more quickly and easily succeed when engaged in the line of work that he loves, or even the work that he performs on behalf of some person whom he loves. Remember the time when you were in love with someone. Would you not do anything for that person? You certainly would, right? That’s what love does to you.

Whenever the element of love enters into any task that one performs, the quality of the work becomes immediately improved and the quantity increased, without a corresponding increase in the fatigue caused by the work. When you mix love energy with action it’s called Inspired Action!!!

Love + Action = Inspired ‘Effortless’ Action

This habit of going the extra mile will put you in a position where you will become unstoppable. Every person you come across will come under your circle of influence & you will soon become irreplaceable in your own line of work.

To tilt the universe in your direction – Give more value in use than value in exchange!!! Give more value in use than you take in cash value. Become indispensable & so important to others that they cannot simply do without you!!! The greatest publicity you can ever get is Word of Mouth Publicity.

How will you do that? By taking Massive Inspired Action (MIA). How will you take MIA? By being true to yourself & doing things that you enjoy & love doing. How will you be able to find something you enjoy doing? By being Happy. Why by being happy? Because by being happy the frequency at which you vibrate will through the Law of Attraction bring events, situations, people & ideas that make & keep you happy. Hence HAPPINESS = SUCCESS!!!

The emotion of happiness puts you on a frequency which is the starting point of all creation in the universe!!!

The 2 most important things that every business needs are – Publicity & Visibility. Without sufficient publicity & advertising, no business can thrive or even survive in today’s corporate scenario & the greatest form of publicity & advertising you can ever get is word of mouth publicity.

Word of mouth publicity is the most powerful form of publicity you can ever get & the best thing is that it’s free. However the only difficult thing is that in order to get word of mouth publicity, you got to be good, I mean really good at what you do or offer.

By going the extra mile, you not only attract the attention of people but also impress them to recommend you & your services. That’s the most powerful thing that can ever happen to you & your business!!!

Have you really got excited to watch a movie, just because the producer of the movie, or the director or the actors were raving about it? You generally don’t unless you come under the circle of influence of one or more of these people. However if your best friend tells you to go & watch a movie & raves about it, you will certainly go & watch it.

That’s how powerful, word of mouth publicity is!!! It becomes even more powerful when suggested by an outsider & not an insider of something which is being sold. Your friend (an outsider) is not going to benefit anything by recommending you to go & watch the movie. The producers are not going to give him a share out of their profits for that. But he will still be an influence in your watching of the movie.

So the easiest & the most powerful way of getting free publicity & advertising is through word of mouth & the best way you can do it is by doing more than what you are paid for i.e. by going the extra mile.

Whenever there is any transaction happening, there is always a tendency in us to compare the value of the product or service in use with the value in exchange.

If, Perceived Value in Use > Value in Exchange -> We generally tend to buy

& If, Perceived Value in Use < Value in Exchange -> We generally tend to NOT buy

By going the extra mile, you make the perceived value in use much greater than the value in exchange. That’s how you create a win-win situation. You win, your client wins, everyone wins!!!

The above, is just a small list of some of the biggest names on Internet Marketing! These people are all multi-millionaires & whenever they launch a New Program, they make millions of dollars in just the 1st week of their launch!

I am a big fan of all of the above marketers & I have been closely following their work over the past year.

This is my 1st post on Internet Marketing & I am going to blow the fuse regarding the ‘Truth’ about Internet Marketing & Making Money Online!

If you are like me, you surely dream of becoming one of the top Internet Marketers Online. I wish you all the luck for the same, but I want to warn you about something extremely important, that you MUST know even before you have started your career online.

Here is what happens to most people who start their Career Online:

First, they go & buy some ‘HOT’ course from any one of the above mentioned Internet Marketing Gurus!
Then, they all get pumped up, excited & are fully enthusiastic to learn everything that they can from the course.
They develop a few ideas, start working on them, hire copywriters, webmasters, buy domain names & host their sites online.
They even start collecting email-addresses of their leads with the help of email auto-responders like Aweber, Get Response etc.
They do everything & then something obvious happens!!!

They DO NOT make the kind of money they were expecting to make, or rather had thought of making!

95% of those who enrol in these courses do not make a career online!

Why?

Is it because of the Program they purchased?

Was the Program inferior?

The only answer is ‘NO’.

You see, the problem does not lie in ‘Program’. The problem lies in QUITTING or having not given your best shot.

The biggest tool that all the above Online Gurus possesss in their arsenal is:

A Huge Email List!

Having a big Email-List is the single most powerful tool you can possibly have to Make Money Online.

Most of the Gurus Online, have tens of thousand of people on their list. They have many products & sites & every site has an email list of tens of thousands of people.

If you have been doing Internet Marketing even for a few months, you already know how powerful is having a huge email list. It’s as good as printing money or having money in the bank!

Also, when a Guru is launching his new product online, there is a lot of hype & buzz going around during the pre-launch, & the launch phase. Also the other Internet Marketing Gurus help him at the time of pre-launch. The other Gurus also inform their lists to enrol in the Program.

All this adds to the viral effect!

It’s a win-win situation & everyone wins.

You may be thinking….All this sounds cool & true, but what about people like you and me who are just starting their careers online?

How can we make the most out of these courses? How can we become successful?

Now I will reveal you the ‘Real Truth’ on how you can also make Money Online:

First & foremost, let me inform you that there are NO ‘Get Rich Quick Schemes’ Online
If you think, you can start your career online & in a few months become a multi-millionaire, it’s not impossible but it is certainly not easy as it may appear to be
Even, the names mentioned above are successful today because they had the persistence & patience to make it big online
Most have been online for at least 5 years & they have worked hard, made mistakes & most importantly, learnt from their mistakes.
They also didn’t quit when the going got tough!

Here is what you must do:

The most important thing you must start doing is to build your BRAND! Period! Self-Branding is the most important thing!

So how will you do this?

Become a person of value. Give away a Free Report which has got of course some connection with the stuff you are selling online & give it away absolutely FREE!
Give, before you even think of receiving!
Since you are new, no one knows you online.
It is very difficult to trust someone online, and hence you need to build trust & faith amongst people so that they start believing you & following you.
Remember, you cannot make money by cheating or duping people in the long term. Be honest & have genuine desire to help others.
Start a blog & write posts regularly just like how I am doing here. Give high value in your posts just like how the above marketers do.
Collect email-addresses of people by giving them a Free Report, Audio-Book or even Videos which have very high value.

You may ask, why should I give away something having great value for FREE?

If you give something for Free, add it doesn’t add value to your leads, clients & prospects, people will initially subscribe to your list, for getting the report. But as soon as they realise, that the freebie did not have much value whatsoever for them, they will soon unsubscribe themselves from your mailing list.
